The Baza is a sub-machine gun of Tenno make that boasts a high fire rate and uniquely silent firing, making it ideal for stealth frames who want a rapid fire weapon that can be used without alerting enemies to their impending doom. The Baza snuck onto the scene with Update 22.4 in 2017, and was found to be a hard hitting, rapid-fire beast, matching the Soma Prime as well as several other weapons with the highest available Critical Chance on a fully automatic weapon. It’s low recoil and high fire rate make it ideal for building a headshot machine that will quickly dispatch most enemies (at least the ones that have heads). Pairing this weapon with zoom mods like Argon Scope is excessively deadly, with the Baza’s low zoom and recoil creating an easily controllable firing pattern.

The Baza is well served by its High Crit Chance, ammo reserve, and fire rate. It’s IPS damage spread is focused mainly on Puncture and Impact Damage, making it (at base) more effective against Armor and Shields, but less effective against Health.
Crit or Status?
Building the Baza for Crit Chance and Damage will serve you extremely well; however, the best thing to add to the Baza is Hunter Munitions, a mod that has a chance to apply a Slash Status on a Critical hit. Focusing mainly on Critical Chance and raw Damage will allow the Baza to tackle most of the enemies a Tenno can encounter with forced Slash procs from Hunter Munitions making up for the Baza’s low amount of Slash Damage.
The Baza is an excellent stealth weapon with high Critical Chance and rate of fire. It’s a perfect addition to Ivara as it does not break her out of Prowl, and is a great compliment to the arsenal of any Tenno who appreciates a silent-but-deadly approach. It is a personal go-to for Corpus and Grineer Spy missions – especially when needing to take down cameras or guards from long distances without raising alarms.
