Nightwave Weeklies: Intermission 3, Week 25

Welcome back, Dreamers.

The Nightwave weekly bounties change every Sunday at 12 midnight GMT (or Monday morning, if that’s your preference), so keep your eyes out every week after that time for our weekly update – letting you know the activities you’ll need to complete for the week (note this will not include daily challenges, of course).

This Week's Bounties

The following challenges are in place until Midnight Sunday 25 July / Monday 26 July:

  • Kill 100 Enemies with a Necramech
  • Complete 1 Sortie
  • Complete 10 Syndicate Missions
  • Complete 8 Zone of Sanctuary Onslaught
  • Complete 5 Different Bounties in the Orb Vallis
  • Kill Profit-Taker
  • Unlock 10 Relics

Some Tips

Kill 100 Enemies with a Necramech: Well… this is interesting. For now, it can only be done on Deimos, but do keep in mind this will also work on the “dead” mechs if you haven’t got your own just yet. Not that hard, but annoying to some, I would assume, and just a pain in the butt.

Complete 1 Sortie: Sadly, this locks out players that are yet to complete The War Within, but it’s not terribly difficult.

Complete 10 Syndicate Missions: Nice and easy – you can knock out a bunch of passive challenges as well while doing these, as well as possibly some less passive ones, such as Simaris scans and so on.

Complete 8 Zone of Sanctuary Onslaught: Not difficult, and unlocked fairly early in the Star Chart, so this is accessible to most players. All you need to do is survive long enough to last 8 waves – advanced players can probably do this solo, newer players should enter in public or with friends. And yes, you can knock out some passive kill challenges at the same time! Not only that – you can do this in chunks (i.e., it doesn’t have to be 8 waves in one session).

Complete 5 Different Bounties in the Orb Vallis: Bit of a pain in the butt, this one, but mainly because it’s just time consuming. You can smash out all 5 in a row if you want, or spread them out over the week, but it will definitely take more time than it’s (perhaps) worth.

Kill Profit-Taker: Oof. Glad this is an Elite challenge, as it’s not one that many players can actually achieve, particularly lower level players. Still, not only will you be taking down the Profit-Taker Orb, but you’ll also be fighting a bunch of Corpus, so best to combine this one with “Kill XXX number of enemies” challenges (don’t make it too complex, as you will need to concentrate on the Orb fight).

Unlock 10 Relics: Another easy Elite challenge. Keep in mind that you can combine this with challenges that require you to complete a certain number of specific mission types, as you can pick and choose what specific Void Fissure mission you want to do.

And this year was no different, except maybe that the two things that were shown off were maybe the most anticipated pieces of Warframe content ever. So that’s a thing.

Episode 145 – Sisters of Parvos

Sisters are doing it for themselves! Standing on their own two feet… wait. Wrong song.

Finally, the Sisters of Parvos update has seen fit to grace our servers, and what an update it is. Not only does it bring the Sisters themselves, and a whole raft of weapons, but there’s a brand new Warframe in there and a major weapon rebalance.

Listen to hear our thoughts, and we’ll see you again next week for our TennoCon follow-up.

Topics:

  • News: Prime Gaming freebies, new Supporter Packs, new features on Warframe Companion App

Episode Notes:

A new syandana is available from Prime Gaming, so go get it.

The team shared behind the scenes recordings for Sleeping in the Cold below, so go watch it!

Sisters of Parvos is on all platforms – huzzah! (So go play it.)

And with the new update comes new Supporter packs! There are two new packs to consider – the cheaper one provides the new bubble gun, while the more expensive gives you that plus Yareli, plus Ambassador! (and both, of course, also provide cosmetics and platinum)

New features on the Warframe companion app – mostly Syndicate support so you can check stuff, plus you can view featured clans

Nightwave Weeklies: Intermission 3, Week 23

Welcome back, Dreamers.

The Nightwave weekly bounties change every Sunday at 12 midnight GMT (or Monday morning, if that’s your preference), so keep your eyes out every week after that time for our weekly update – letting you know the activities you’ll need to complete for the week (note this will not include daily challenges, of course).

This Week's Bounties

The following challenges are in place until Midnight Sunday 11 July / Monday 12 July.:

  • Find All Caches in 3 Sabotage Missions
  • Complete 5 Different Bounties on the Plains of Eidolon
  • Complete 3 Exterminate Missions
  • Complete 3 Mobile Defense Missions
  • Unlock 4 Orokin Vaults on Deimos
  • Complete 4 Halls of Ascension on Lua (Elite)
  • Complete 8 Zones of Elite Sanctuary Onslaught (Elite)

Some Tips

Find All Caches in 3 Sabotage Missions: This isn’t a difficult challenge, but it’s definitely time consuming. Sometimes you just can’t find those damned caches. I wouldn’t recommend trying to double up with “Kill XX enemies” challenges as you just want to look for caches, but you can possibly knock these out at the same time as doing other related missions. You could always double up on the “Silver Grove” challenge by choosing the Earth Sabotage mission as well.

Complete 5 Different Bounties on the Plains of Eidolon: Now that there are camps on the Plains, this will be much easier. You can either jump in and just smash out 5 in a row, or do a few here and there across several days. Not hard, but time consuming, as usual. Good chance to farm for anything you are missing from the Plains.

Complete 3 Exterminate Missions: This one is really easy, but keep the daily acts in mind, as you can double or triple up on basic challenges (such as Kill XX enemies with XX weapon type, and so on). You might be able to also cover any Invasion Acts as well, but only if you’re lucky enough to have an Exterminate mission in Invasions.

Complete 3 Mobile Defense Missions: Again, an easy one, and definitely one that can be doubled up with Invasion challenges (as Mobile Defence missions are often offered as Invasion mssion types). Can also be combined with Dailies, depending on what they are, so consider them before jumping in.

Unlock 4 Orokin Vaults on Deimos: This is accessible to all players now, as a result of the Derelict moving to Deimos, but lower MR players may struggle. Recommend lower players to go in with friends/clannies. Still, this can also be solo’d by higher level players, and is a great opportunity to collect some rare (and highly tradeable) mods.

Complete 4 Halls of Ascension on Lua: You need to have unlocked Lua to have access to this (by completing The Second Dream). There are 7 different challenge rooms that appear at random on Lua maps. People tend to have their favourites, but I like the Crossfire Exterminate, myself. Keep in mind that the musical challenge (that awards an Octavia blueprint) does NOT count towards this.

Complete 8 Zones of Elite Sanctuary Onslaught: There are some great rewards to be gained from ESO – including Radiant Relics, and the Braton and Lato Vandal variants, but lower level players are likely to struggle. Note, though, that this is a great place to also farm focus, and you can also knock out a bunch of kills, including Eximus enemies.

Nightwave Weeklies: Intermission 3, Week 21

Welcome back, Dreamers.

The Nightwave weekly bounties change every Sunday at 12 midnight GMT (or Monday morning, if that’s your preference), so keep your eyes out every week after that time for our weekly update – letting you know the activities you’ll need to complete for the week (note this will not include daily challenges, of course).

This Week's Bounties

The following challenges are in place until Midnight Sunday 27 June / Monday 28 June:

  • Pick up 8 Rare Mods
  • Kill 500 Enemies
  • Complete 3 Spy Missions
  • Complete 3 Sabotage Missions
  • Complete 5 Scans for Cephalon Simaris
  • Complete a Defence Mission reaching at least Wave 20 (Elite)
  • Complete a Survival Mission Reaching at Least 30 Minutes (Elite)

Some Tips

Pick up 8 Rare Mods: Seems difficult at first glance, because Rare mods … well, they’re rare. They don’t necessarily drop that often. While it’s quite possible that 8 will drop as you do other challenges, this pairs PERFECTLY with an Index challenge, as all Index mods are Rare, and they drop frequently. TL;DR: go to the Index, if you can.

Kill 500 Enemies: Super easy, because it can be done passively! Don’t focus on this at all – it should just happen. If not, choose a high-level Exterminate and you should knock this out quickly.

Complete 3 Spy Missions: Again, an easy one, and again, one that you might be able to double up on with Invasion missions (if you’re lucky). This will work for ANY Spy mission, so keep an eye on the Sortie as well, because that might tick off one of these if you also need to do a Sortie challenge.

Complete 3 Sabotage Missions: Another super duper easy one, and one that can be doubled up with Invasions or Relic runs if that is also on the cards for that week (provided, of course, that there are Sabotage missions available). Otherwise, smash out three low level ones and be done with this in 10 mins.

Complete 5 Scans for Cephalon Simaris: Keep in mind that you will need to have a target assigned by Cephalon Simaris, so go see him at any relay first. Hopefully he’ll give you a common target. You can quite easily combine this with most other mission types, depending on the target you have, so ensure you have your scanners equipped.

Complete a Defence Mission reaching at least Wave 20: Not too hard, you just have to last a long time. That many waves is going to be at least half an hour, so buckle in – and remember, all you need to do is survive, so you should be fine with a good group. You can smash out a bunch of other passive challenges as well, so make sure you bring the right weapons to get multiple jobs done (if they are on the menu for that day/week).

Complete a Survival Mission Reaching at Least 30 Minutes: With a good group, this is actually quite easy. I’d recommend doing this while cross-referencing other requirements for the week, as you may be able to knock off a few passive challenges as well. Not too straining, but tedious if you don’t enjoy long(ish)-term survival.
